Carol Prud'homme Davis
(Managing/Arts Education Director)

Carol joined The Shadow Box Theatre in January 2012. Ms. Davis received a MS in Administration and Supervision of the Visual Arts from Bank Street College/ Parsons School of Design. She brings a background of 30 years in arts education and administration, having created and implemented arts education, sports and health programming for day care through 12th grade. She has served as an arts education director, supervisor and coordinator with such NYC organizations as Cypress Hills Local Development Corp., Hetrick-Martin Institute (working with LGBTQ youth), TASC's ESL/Family Literacy Program. Carol danced professionally with such companies as Kathyrn Posin and went on to found and act as Artistic Director of "us Productions for 10 years. Berko Productions of Japanese PBS TV produced "Ms. Carol" as a celebration of her afterschool work. She was nominated for the Eleanor Roosevelt Award by Governor Mario Cuomo. At this time she is the resident Visual Artist for Peridance and the Sandra Cameron Dance Studio. Her work is the first permanent collection commissioned by American Contemporary Dance Museum.

Pope Jackson
(Technical Director)

Pope Jackson the newest member to the Shadow Box team, oversees all of the technical needs for the company.  Additionally he assists in managing the marketing. Pope Jackson, a proud father and multiple award winning Harlem native got his start in production while still in junior high school. He completed his first award winning film while still attending high school. In 2001, Pope started his own Production & Design company ACTUATOR Incorporated as well as his award winning Design team, Onyx Arts.Extremely focused and always on the grind, Pope won the NY 48 hour Film Project in 2005, worked on a Grammy nominated album with Wynton Marsalis in 2006 and has Stage Managed at the World Famous Apollo Theater. During the Fall of 2009, Pope received recognition for educating about and advocating against the learned behavior of Domestic Violence through a Proclamation from the Mayor of NYC, Michael R. Bloomberg, deeming October 30th, 2009 the "Death of a Dream" day.  During the Summer of 2012, Pope was honored with Citations from NY State Senator Gustavo Rivera, NY State Assembly Woman Vanessa L. Gibson, NY City Council Majority Leader Jose Rivera & NY City Community Board #6 for outstanding community service as an citizen, artist as well as for his company’s work in the arts. Building on his extensive technical knowledge of lighting and composition, as well as his capacity for team collaboration he has stayed busy designing, producing, directing, acting, & working on various stage plays, musicals, television shows, albums, radio dramas and films throughout the Country.

Elena Shadrina
(Production/Stage Manager)

Elena started her career in Russia as an actress in two non-profit theaters-a Children's Musical Theatre, MIF, and an award-winning Francophone Theatre, Les Partisan. She was a Director’s Assistant on multiple productions for Russian and international theatre festivals. She was one of the founders of the Non-profit Theatre Festival for Young Audiences, which successfully provided opportunities for the wider development of non-profit theatre productions. After her active participation in theatre in Russia she decided to broaden her horizons by pursuing a career abroad. Gaining her MA in Theatre/Theatre Management from CUNY Hunter College, she became involved in various independent theatre and film projects. She was a production assistant for the International Fringe Festival, an administrative assistant for the Actors Movement Studio, and was one of the first performing artists who started the street theatre project, Treats. She joined The Shadow Box Theatre in 2013 to further utilize her skills and passions as a Production Stage Manager.
