Ananse and the Pot of StorieS our newest TOURING PERFORMANCE
Ananse the Spider has heard that Nyame the Sky God has a pot of stories that contain all the wisdom in the world, and he wants to have these stories so that he can become truly wise. Nyame will give it to him if he can accomplish 3 challenging tasks. Based on the Ananse Stories of West Africa and the Caribbean, this puppets and people musical written by Emelia Asiedu, with music by Greg Alexander, teaches the values of wisdom, honesty, and critical thinking. Recommended for K-4th grade.

TOURING PERFORMANCES
The Shadow Box Theatre presents professional children’s theatre productions that travel to classrooms, cafeterias, auditoriums and day care centers. Using live music, dance, actors, and delightful puppets, these performances are designed to engage children ages 3 through 12 with stories that cultivate self-worth and encourage understanding and compassion for others.
Areas served: All five boroughs of New York City: Brooklyn, The Bronx, Queens, Staten Island and Manhattan. Nassau County, Yonkers/Lower Westchester; and Jersey City/Hoboken.
